About
Vivian
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who views therapy as a space for both depth and growth—one that can hold change, loss, reflection, and meaningful movement forward. I strive to create an environment that feels collaborative, grounded, and thoughtful. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, teens, individuals, and couples, supporting clients across a wide range of life stages and challenges.
A meaningful part of my work centers on grief and loss in its many forms, including the loss of loved ones, changes in relationships, shifts in identity, and the grief that can arise when life does not unfold as expected. I am patient in this work and place a strong emphasis on creating space for grief to be felt and honored, rather than rushed or pushed aside. I believe grief often needs time and room to be acknowledged before it can soften or shift, and I aim to offer a steady, compassionate presence as clients move at their own pace while staying connected to what matters most to them.

Therapy with Vivian
Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and grounded in honesty and warmth. I am direct in my approach and believe clarity and thoughtful feedback are essential to meaningful change. I offer gentle challenges when they are helpful, while staying attuned to each client’s pace and readiness.
I also use humor intentionally in therapy—not to minimize or invalidate difficult experiences, but to build connection, ease tension, and create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to help clients gain insight, experiment with new perspectives, and make choices that better align with their values.
Why Choose Vivian
I co-founded my practice to create a therapeutic space that is both welcoming and intentional. My work tends to be a good fit for clients who value honesty, direct communication, and a therapist who is actively engaged in the process.
Clients who work well with me are often open to reflection, willing to be gently challenged, and interested in understanding patterns rather than avoiding them. If you are looking for therapy that balances warmth and humor with clarity and accountability—and feels supportive without being passive—we may be a good fit.
Outside of the Therapy Room
Outside of work, I enjoy challenging myself physically—whether through Peloton workouts, spending time outdoors, or pushing myself in ways that build strength and resilience. I’m drawn to activities that require consistency, patience, and showing up even when it’s uncomfortable. I also deeply value time with family and friends, meaningful conversations, and shared moments of connection. These parts of my life reflect the same balance I bring into therapy: being intentional, allowing space to slow down, and staying engaged through challenge rather than avoiding it.
Vivian's "Why"
I became a counselor because I want to bring more compassion and understanding into the world. I am drawn to this work for the opportunity to witness people navigating challenges, uncovering their strengths, and connecting more deeply with themselves and others. Being part of that process and supporting clients as they take steps toward clarity and growth is what makes this work meaningful to me. It is an honor to witness people develop resilience, find their own strength, and navigate challenges with courage.
Cultural background & Values
As an immigrant and someone rooted in Hispanic culture, I understand the nuances of navigating multiple worlds, holding layered identities, and carrying experiences that are not always fully acknowledged. These experiences inform how I connect with clients and approach the therapeutic space. Because of this, I place a strong emphasis on cultural sensitivity, curiosity, and humility in my work. I strive to create a space where culture, identity, family dynamics, and lived experiences are welcomed and respected. My goal is to meet clients with openness and care, honoring the full context of who they are while supporting them in ways that feel affirming and meaningful.
