Supportive team. Great minds.
Chastity Carrillo, LPC
Play Therapist & Co-Founder of Dallas Modern Therapy
Hi, I’m Chaz — a Licensed Professional Counselor who shows up with curiosity, creativity, and realness. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation: human, honest, and grounded in meaningful connection. I work with children, teens, and adults navigating life transitions, relationship stress, identity exploration, grief, and all the messy, beautiful parts of being human.
My approach is compassionate, flexible, and creative — sometimes we talk, sometimes we play, and sometimes we just slow it all down and breathe. I bring a sense of humor into the room too, because sometimes laughter is part of healing. I’ve been doing play therapy for years and finally submitted my Registered Play Therapist application — now just waiting on the official stamp of approval. I’m passionate about helping kids feel safe to be themselves — and giving adults permission to do the same. Therapy with me isn’t about being “fixed.” It’s about being seen, getting to know yourself, and discovering what healing actually looks like for you.
Dallas Modern Therapy began as a dream to create a space that feels inclusive, modern, and genuinely supportive — wherever your journey takes you.
Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me on a soccer field, a volleyball court, or learning pickleball. I spend a lot of time with the people who matter most — friends, family, the ones who’ve been there from the start, and those I’ve picked up along the way. I’m also a big fan of slow, quiet Sundays to reset and recharge.

Vivian Murcia, LPC
Play Therapist & Co-Founder of Dallas Modern Therapy
Meet Vivian - I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy can serve many purposes. Whether it’s a space to grow, celebrate change, mourn losses, or slow down and reflect, I aim to create a space that is collaborative and grounded in understanding. Over the past eight years, I’ve worked with children, teens, individuals, and couples, helping them navigate challenges and create meaningful change in their lives.
My approach is flexible—whether using play, activities, or talk, I meet clients where they are. I am currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist to continue expanding my skills in working with children and families.
I co-founded my practice to create a welcoming, inclusive space where people of all ages and stages can explore their stories and feel empowered to make choices that better align with their values. Therapy is about more than solving problems; it’s about discovering your strengths and building the life you want.
When I’m not at work, I love spending time in nature, traveling, and being with friends and family. These experiences recharge me and remind me of the importance of connection and balance—values I bring into every session.
